Which Audis Are Most Reliable and What Parts Wear Out Quickest?

Reliability is No. 1 for most consumers when it comes to buying a new luxury car, and their number one question is: what is the most reliable luxury car?
So, what is the most reliable luxury car?
Before we dive in, what exactly does reliability mean? Generally speaking, it means a car has lower maintenance needs than most automobiles and, secondly, that it isn’t facing repeated recalls.
And, Audi seems to top many lists.
So today we are taking a look at the top four Audi models when it comes to reliability.
Audi TT.

Yes, it’s a great-looking coupe. And it’s filled with high-tech innovations, beautiful materials, and boasts a powerful engine. But according to the CarVertical, website it’s also very reliable. Motor Biscuit recently cited iSeeCars analysts who looked at more than 11.8 million used cars sold in 2020 to pinpoint vehicles still being driven with (or over) 150,000 miles on the odometer. In the sports car category, 4.3% of the Audi TT cars had a mileage of 150,000 (or more), which is 2% more than the other affordable sports car – the Ford Mustang. The one area that the Audi TT was mentioned for was maintenance. According to CarVertical owners should change the timing belt every 60,000 miles rather than every 80,000 as the manufacturer recommends. This applies to the water pump.
Audi A6.

Consumer Reports was impressed with the Audi A6 and particularly loved its braking abilities. Consumer Reports also lauded the A6 for its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and the turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engines and its 26 mpg overall fuel efficiency rating. It did note, however, that the fuel pump could act up, and said coil packs were also prone to needing replacement. But overall the review was positive. “The Audi A6 is comfortable, quiet, and agile, and one of the better midsized luxury sedans,” Consumer reports noted. “The ride is taut, with an underlying firmness, but still comfortable. The quiet cabin is a delight in terms of fit and finish, and the front seats are extremely comfortable and supportive.”
Audi A4.

This Audi gets praised as the most reliable luxury car for its responsive handling and loaded infotainment system that includes a variety of apps as well as its quiet cabin. J.D. Power has given the Audi A4 a reliability score of 82 out of 100. Despite this, there were some issues pointed out. The thermostat housing and transmission pan leaks were the only concerns.
Audi A3.

The website carVertical gushed that the A3 is the most reliable Audi on the market. They also pointed to a study by What Car? that gave the A3 a reliability rating of a whopping 93.6%. The A3's 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine offers a powerful drive and generates 201 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. While near perfect, Audi A3 tends to consume engine oil at a rate higher than other vehicles in this segment, and owners are encouraged to check the oil levels regularly. Other areas that need to be monitored include the water pump, suspension mounts, and wheel bearings.
